At Knox Central Primary School our Prep classroom is designed to welcome your child, spark their imagination and arouse their thinking. The room is full with resourced books, computers, iPads, constructions materials and art supplies to ensure all students can flourish. At Knox Central Primary School we aim to foster a dynamic and interactive environment where students are encouraged to ask questions, engage in discussions, and explore their curiosity. Through hands-on activities, collaborative projects, and real-world applications, we aim to instill a lifelong love for learning and problem-solving.

Our teachers are committed to creating a safe and happy environment for students to be challenged and pushed beyond their comfort zones and encouraged to explore new horizons. 

Our large double classroom provides ample space for students to complete activities, such as group work, hands-on experiments, discussions, and presentations. Students will have more room to explore, move around and spread out, creating a more comfortable and less crowded learning environment, enhancing our preps concentration and focus during lessons.

How to help your child in the classroom:

• Share with your child good stories and memories of your own school days
• Be positive about school, teachers and learning
• Talk with your child about the kinds of activities they will take part in during the school day
• Talk about friendships and how to be a good friend
• Take your child to your local library and choose books together
• Talk about the letters, words and numbers your child sees when shopping, on television, in books and on computer screens
• Encourage your child's curiosity by asking questions in return
• Introduce yourself to the families of other children
